Rofes lab

The Rofes lab is based at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. We are part of the Neurolinguistics group, the Center for Language and Cognition Groningen, and Research School of Behavioral and Cognitive Neurosciences. We work with people with brain tumors, neurodegeneration, brain infections, and autoimmune neurological diseases, and use behavioral testing and neuroimaging tools, such as Direct Electrical Stimulation (DES) and navigated Magnetic Stimulation (nTMS), to study language processing. We have an interest on item-level information of naming tasks (objects and actions), word association, verbal fluency, and spontaneous speech. We strive to help people with mild language impairments, while unveiling how language is represented in the brain.
